Restricted Licenses - Restricted
licenses are issued to individuals who are between the ages of
fourteen (14) and sixteen (16) years of
age. These licenses are issued to individuals who can show there is an extreme
inconvenience, and must be approved by the Wyoming Highway Patrol. The restricted
license allows the licensee to drive a vehicle only between the hours of 5:00
a.m. and 8:00 p.m., within a fifty (50) mile radius of his domicile and only
at the direction of his parent or guardian.
Extreme inconveniences include the following:
1. The person must drive to school and the person=s residence is more than five
(5) miles from the school.
2. The person has a regular job more than five (5) miles from the School.
3. The person must have the license to work in his parent=s business.
4. Any other circumstances which the Highway Patrol finds is an extreme inconvenience.
i.e., Mom and Dad, let's move 5 miles out of town, duh!
